The Durham Region Cycling Coalition (DRCC) was formed to give a greater voice to the cycling community so as to effect improvements to cycling infrastructure and the inherent benefit of safer roads for people on bikes. DRCC is actively working with all levels of government to bring about an awareness of the needs of all cyclists whether they be commuters, casual riders, mountain bike riders, or avid road cyclists.

Stretching over 1600km along the Canadian shores of Lake Ontario, Lake Erie, Lake St. Clair and the Niagara, Detroit and St. Lawrence Rivers, the Waterfront Trail connects 86 communities and over 405 parks and natural areas including wetlands, forests, and beaches. Created to protect, celebrate and reconnect people to our Great Lake waterfronts, the Trail has become a well-loved and used recreation, fitness and green transportation amenity and a world-renowned tourism attraction.
The Foundation operates as an independent, charitable organization, and receives funding from the Government of Ontario and other public and private support to make strategic investments that bolster the richness of life in the Greenbelt. Since 2005, we have invested and leveraged matching dollars totaling more than $47 million through investment in farming, environmental protection, and tourism projects to make the Greenbelt a great place to live, work, play, and grow.
The Ontario Trails Council (OTC) - Conseil des Sentiers de l'Ontario – is a charity that promotes the development, preservation, management, and use of recreational trails in Ontario.
Ontario Trails Council brings the right people together to provide reliable information that advances the management and operation of recreational trails while providing public access to the largest multi-use trail inventory in Canada.
